QUESTION: Councillor D. O'Donovan

To ask the Manager how many Community Grants have been allocated so far this year within the County?  And what is the total amount allocated so far?

REPLY:

The Council's Community Grants Scheme is under review at present and a report from the February 2015 meeting of the Soical and Community SPC in this regard was presented to the Council at its March 2015 meeting. The report contained a number of recommendations regarding the streamlining of the Community Grants Scheme. However following consideration, the Council referred the recommendations back to the SPC. 

The matter has now been listed on the Agenda for the next SPC Meeting which is due to take place on 19th May 2015 for further discussion. As a result no Community Grants have been allocated in 2015 so far.
