QUESTION: Councillor M. Devine

"To ask the Chief Executive if the agreed painting of the boundary railings at Parkhill, Kilnamanagh be done this Spring?"

REPLY:

A commitment was given in July / August of 2014 to paint the boundary railings at Parkhill estate and it was identified as a task that could possibly be undertaken by the Council's Gateway staff, as the public realm section does not have any painters to carry out this the work.  The proposal to have this work carried out by Gateway staff will be put to the Council's Gateway Committee which is made up of management and staff union representatives, and if agreed by the committee the work will be carried out in the early summer.  Failing this the matter will be raised with the Housing Dept to establish if Housing Dept painters could do the work.
