COMHAIRLE CONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

QUESTION NO.9
QUESTION: Councillor M. Genockey
"To request the Chief Executive to ensure large roadsides at the entrances to Killinarden from the N81 are corrected in order to ensure that the name of the area is spelled correctly? They currently read Killinardan."
REPLY:
The Signage on the N81 with the spelling Killinardan is an advance direction sign for the townland of Killinardan. It does not refer to the housing estate. It is not normal practice for estate names to be included on National routes . The estate nameplate should be located at the entrance to the estate.
