QUESTION: Councillor B. Leech

"To the Chief Executive, now that the problem with the gauge of the steel fencing has been resolved and replaced when can we expect the Astro pitches facility at the Tallaght Leisure Centre to be finally opened, and why the long delay?"

REPLY:

The construction of the All Weather facility at Jobstown Park is almost complete. The remaining items to be completed to the satisfaction of the Council centre around the Electrical work and it is anticipated this work will be completed by the end of April 2015. Following this a snagging exercise will be conducted and once these items have been dealt with satisfactorily the facility will be opened for use.
