QUESTION: Councillor M. Genockey

"To ask the Chief Executive for an update, including dates, on when the work at Carrigmore Park will be completed and for details on what remaining work has to be carried out at the park?"

REPLY:

The construction of Carrigmore Park is substantially complete and the facilities provided to date include:

• Pedestrian paths
• Boundary walls
• Tree and hedge planting
• Playground
• Exercise equipment
• Basketball Court
• Wildflower meadow
• Car Park
• Signage
• Biodiversity protection

The main item to be completed is the football pitch and which was not completed due to unsuitable weather conditions. There are also a number of snag list items to be documented and rectified. The football pitch will be completed when weather conditions are suitable and this is likely to be April or May 2015.  Snagging will then follow after this phase and when these are satisfactorily dealt with the construction work on the park will be considered to be fully completed.
