MEETING OF TALLAGHT AREA COMMITTEE

HEADED ITEM NO.1 (8)
HEADED ITEM: H. Hogan
St. Aongus Tymon Residents Association - Deputation
REPLY:
Further to the recent Deputations Meeting with St. Aongus/Tymon Residents Association, the Councils Estate Management Section have again examined the location and spoken with the specific residents adjoing the 'set backs' in question - no. 71 Tymon North Road and no. 10 St Aongus Green. As previously indicated, we have to advise that there is no significant anti social issues at this location.
Following our meeting with the residents in October last year, we gave a community representative paint, as requested, in order to paint over the graffitti (previously known as the mural) at this location. As of todays date this work has not commenced.
The Councils Public Realm Dept. report that they would be in a position to remove the concrete path, using a mini digger, in the next few weeks, subject to suitable ground and weather conditions. In addition, they have agreed to scrap back the paths on the open space as they are suffering badly from grass encroachment.
With regard to the removal of the 'step back' they have confirmed that they will look at the option of building a wall (to square off the 'step back')
