Updated Report on Anti Social Behaviour
REPLY:
Since our last report to the Committee in January, a total of fifteen named families have been interviewed in conjunction with the Gardai regarding anti social behaviour in the general Brookview/Fettercairn areas. The sequence of such interviews was agreed with the Gardai. Fourteen warnings have been issued and one surrender received (10 Brookview Rise) as a result of these interviews. One other family did not attend.
Further interviews will be held on 3th March next for the remainder of the named families, again in conjunction with the Gardai. Follow ups, where necessary - where certain commitments were made by tenants, will be monitored closely.
A meeting of the Local Police Fora Steering Group was held on 12th February and also a meeting with the Brookview residents was held on 17th February last. At both meetings progress and updates were outlined and discussed. The general feedback was positive and it was noted that the areas are very quiet
There are less complaints received in general from both areas.
