MOTION: Councillor D. O'Donovan

"That the Chief Executive acts on the Motion passed by this ACM last year asking for trees and shrubs be removed from the upper Coolamber Estate where youths have been arrested for drug dealing beside St. Colmcilles School, Knocklyon."

REPORT:

A commitment was given in response to this item when it was submitted on the agenda of the October meeting of this committee last year. The commitment given was that the undergrowth around the trees in that part of Coolamber Estate beside St Colmcille's School would be cut within the following week.  Regrettably this work was not carried out in 2014, it is now planned to have this work carried out before the end of the current month.  The additional work required to prune trees in the same area will be included in the 2016 tree programme, as the programme for 2015 is already fully committed.
