MOTION: Councillor V. Casserly

That this Council directs the Chief Executive to include appropriate polices, objectives and actions in the Development Plan aimed at supporting and developing outdoor tourism and recreational amenities in our County, in conjunction with Fáilte Ireland and the ‘Grow Dublin’ taskforce.

REPORT:

The Tourism Strategy for South Dublin 2014 will guide the future development of tourism in South Dublin County. The Tourism Strategy will include a range of actions based on a full analysis of the tourism potential of the County. The motion is considered complementary to the Tourism Strategy.

Recommendation

It is recommended that the motion is adopted.
