MOTION NO. 131

MOTION: Councillor E. Higgins

That this Council views our tourism strategy as an important piece in our overall plans for future economic development and directs that this be reflected in the County’s Development Plan.

REPORT:

The Tourism Strategy for South Dublin 2014 will guide the future development of tourism in South Dublin County. The Tourism Strategy will include a range of actions based on a full analysis of the tourism potential of the County. Actions that are in accordance with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area and are consistent with the Core Strategy will be reflected in the Development Plan.

Recommendation

It is recommended that the motion is adopted.
