MOTION NO. 72

MOTION: Councillor P. Donovan

That this Council directs the Chief Executive to continue to support the development of Cricket facilities in our County given the interest it holds across all communities.  This is particularly timely given recent good news that the ICC Board approved Ireland (along with Afghanistan) joining the 10 full members in Qualifications for the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2019.

REPORT:

That the South Dublin County Council Development Plan 2016-2022 will support the development of sporting facilities at appropriate locations within the County. 

Recommendation

It is recommended that this motion is adopted.
