MOTION: Councillor D. O'Donovan

That the Council directs the Chief Executive to include a policy on the use of natural signifiers such as rivers, hedgerow and strands of trees to dictate the layout of future developments.

REPORT:

The South Dublin County Council Development Plan 2016-2022 will contain requirements relating to all aspects of the County’s Green Infrastructure, which will include the protection and enhancement of the County’s natural assets and their incorporation into development proposals.

Recommendation

It is recommended that this motion is adopted.
