MOTION: Councillor E. Higgins

That this Council endorses Barnardo’s ‘Cool Place to Be Young’ vision for communities and directs the CEO to consider its key policies when shaping our vision for the County through the County Development Plan.

REPORT:

The vision of a ‘Cool Place to Be Young’ is not yet in the public domain. The Council will have regard to this document when preparing the County Development Plan if available. In any case, the policies and objectives of the South Dublin County Council Development Plan 2016-2022 will set out a spatial planning framework to support an inclusive County that addresses the needs of all citizens including young people.

Recommendation

It is recommended that this motion is adopted.
