QUESTION NO. 24
QUESTION: Councillor D. O'Donovan
"To ask the Chief Executive to investigate the traffic management system at the traffic lights at the junction of Idrone Ave and Knocklyon Road at school collection and drop-off time as residents have reported sitting at the traffic lights for upwards of 25 minutes trying to turn off Knocklyon Road onto Idrone Ave?"
REPLY:
A traffic camera was installed at this location in order to monitor traffic conditions and flows.
No such delays have been observed. No complaints have been received. It should be noted that 25 minutes equates to at least 12 complete cycles of the signals.
