QUESTION NO. 17
QUESTION: Councillor P. Donovan
"To ask the Chief Executive to prioritise the repainting of road markings on roads used by local Driving Testing Centres and Instructors. Many of the roads in our area are used for pre test lessons and we are also the route for tests. Details of test roads and junctions can be provided including details of where road markings are particularly worn?"
REPLY:
South Dublin Co Co Roads Department monitor the condition of all road markings in the County on an ongoing basis. Re-painting is scheduled annually where required subject to available resources. There is no preference given to roads in a particular area. If a specific area is of concern, please forward details to the Roads Department who will arrange for an inspection to be carried out.
