QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor

"To ask the Chief Executive Officer to confirm his plans to assist and promote the proposed ST Patrick's Day celebrations in Tallaght?"

REPLY

A proposal for a St Patrick's Day celebration to be located in Tallaght Stadium and Sean Walsh Park is currently being organised by a local voluntary committee made of local community representatives and some local Elected Members.

The Community Services Dept is represented on the committee and it has been agreed that €5000 of funding will be allocated by the Council to the committee to assist them with the costs associated with the planned celebration events.
