COMHAIRLE CONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF TALLAGHT AREA COMMITTEE
Monday, January 26, 2015
HEADED ITEM NO. (7)
HEADED ITEM: H. Hogan
Report on Anti Social Behaviour in the Tallaght Area
REPLY:
Following on from headed item (15) at the November Committee Meeting, a number of meetings have been held with local community reps and the Gardai and it has been agreed to utilise the existing groups and structures in place, and to this end further consultations will take place around the local policing fora.
The Councils role in any response to anti social behaviour relates to our position as Landlord and breaches of the Tenancy Agreement. When breaches of the tenancy are detected, the Council will interview the tenant in accordance with our Anti Social Behaviour Policy. If the anti social behaviour does not cease following such interviews, action, up to and including eviction will follow.
