QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

"To ask the Chief Executive for a detailed report on the implementation and operation of the planned new UTC system at Grange Castle Road?"

REPLY:

The physical components of the SCOOT system were installed towards the end of the 2014.

Specialist programmers attended during the week beginning 12/1/2015.

The system was commissioned on Friday 16/1/2015.

A detailed report from the installing engineers is awaited.

Inital observations appear to be promising but it is as yet too early to gather any meaningful statistical data.
