QUESTION: Councillor F. Timmons
To ask the Chief Executive to look at any available funding for the Beacon of Light counselling service in 2015 given the €4 1/2 m extra? (Motion previously passed at September area meeting).
REPLY:
The Beacon of Light counselling service is located on Collinstown Grove, Clondalkin in a community house owned by the Council. They provide a range of counselling services to the local community. They are a not for profit organisation and tailor fees according to clients ability to pay.
The Community Services Department operate a community grants scheme open to voluntary groups across the County. Organisations are invited to apply, using the criteria to access grant assistance as set out in the grant scheme.
