MOTION NO.2
MOTION: Co
uncillor K. Mahon
Noting the recent case of a migrant woman who, pregnant as a result of rape and despite suicidal ideation, was denied an abortion - suffering horrific physical and mental suffering at the hands of the State - this Council calls on the Government to hold a referendum in the remainder of its term so the Eighth Amendment of the Constitution can be repealed.
REPORT:
If the motion is passed the terms of the motion will be forwarded to the Taoiseach and, when received, a copy of the reply will be circulated to the Members.
