QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor

"To ask the Chief Executive Officer if he would confirm plans to comply with the planning condition to provide a new road in respect of the now unfinished Apartment Block on Cookstown Road Tallaght close to the Fortunestown Shopping Centre and in reporting would he also confirm if he has had any contact with the developer regarding the need to complete the Apartment Block?"

REPLY:

Discussions recently took place between a potential investor in this development and SDCC. The discussions involved compliance with the Planning Permission in terms of delivery of the road on the park side of the development. The investor would be financing the road construction through the sale or letting of the apartments when complete.

SDCC are waiting to see of the investor proceeds with the investment prior to deciding on any other course of action.
