QUESTION NO. 2

QUESTION: Councillor M. Duff

To ask the Chief Executive to make a report regarding the provision of public WIFI in Tallaght Village and to detail the level of buy-in from the local business community to the project?

REPLY:

Lucan, Templeogue, Rathfarnham, Clondalkin, Newcastle, Saggart, Palmerstown & Rathcoole completed.

Tallaght Village implementation proceeded as scheduled on Friday 28th November.  3 wireless access points were installed as follows:- 1 on Molloys Pub, 1 on Molloys Off-Licence and 1 on The Dragon Inn.  This layout is providing coverage to Tallaght Main Street Area as well as the Village Green.  Additional wiring worked needed on 3rd AP at Molloys Liquor Store (will be done this week) and the service is up and running now.

Window stickers have been provided to each village and reporting has been streamlined for distribution.
