MOTION: Councillor M. Duff
That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to ascertain from the owners of the vacant site on the Mayberry Road in Kilnamanagh, their intentions regarding any developement of the site and to demand that they address as a matter of urgency the overgrown condition of the site, as the overgrowth is now spilling on to the roadway.
REPORT:
The Council's Enforcement and Licensing Section is conscious of the general condition of the vacant site on Mayberry Road in Kilnamanagh.
As part of our process we have undertaken a number of standard checks in relation to this site which have included:
We have established that there is no current planning application on the site, nor has it the benefit of a recent planning decision.
While we have established the current owner(s) of the site through our folio check, we have had difficulty in making meaningful contact, albeit that a letter has issued to the registered owners of this site requiring that all overgrowth be cut back, any debris/rubbish be removed and that they advise the Council of their plans for the site.
Should the owners fail to comply, a statutory notice, pursuant to Section 11 of the Derelict Sites Act 1990 will be served. This notice shall become effective after the expiration of fourteen days from the date of service, and shall
