QUESTION: Councillor L. Dunne

"To ask the Chief Executive if the surveillance camera is still operational in the Mac Ullium estate facing the playground, given the fact that there has been increased anti-social behaviour in the area?"

REPLY:

There are currently six CCTV units located within the MacUilliam Estate, five of which are located in the MUGA area and one on MacUilliam Parade. All Cameras are operating at present.  There are no plans at present to install any further cameras in this location.

A total of sixteen incidents of anti social behaviour have been reported in the MacUilliam Estate for the period 1st January, 2014 to 31st October, 2014.

The Councils Estate Officer works very closely with the residents of Mac Uilliam and reports that there is a very vibrant new community in place there.
