QUESTION NO. 5
QUESTION: Councillor J. Graham
To ask the Manager to provide the below information;
How the Business Support Grants can be accessed?
How are the Grants advertised to entrepreneurs?
What are the Grants aimed towards?
How much of the funding was provided to the Clondalkin area?
REPLY:
The Local Enterprise Office has a number of grants, assistance that it can offer to entrepreneurs to assist them in developing an idea, starting a business or expanding a current business. In additional to a Feasibility, Priming and Expansion Grant the LEO South Dublin also offers training and mentoring as a support to people who wish to start up their own business. Application forms for the grants are available on the LEO website or by calling into the LEO office and speaking with one of the Business Advisors.
The Council also had a new initiative, the business support grant, which is available for business with a rate of less than €10,000. Valid applications that have been made are in the process of being approved for payment.
