That this Committee requests the Chief Executive to table a report for discussion at the Area Committee on the total allocation of funding for Tidy Towns in Clondalkin in 2014 and 2015 including how much money has been spent to date and how decisions will be made on expenditure for the remainder of 2014 and in 2015.
REPORT:
The allocation of funds to Tidy Towns groups in the Clondalkin area for 2014 is as follows:
Clondalkin Tidy Towns
Total €3,525.50
North Clondalkin Tidy Towns
Grant €1,000
Tidy Towns Initiatives
Public meeting €884.60
Tidy Towns trip to Drogheda & Malahide
Cost €534.75
It has generally been agreed that any remaining funding will be allocated on the following basis:
Projects which promote and enhance the group’s performance under the list of Tidy Town criteria as follows:
The following general conditions will apply:
No decisions have been made on the allocation of funding for 2015 however a report in this regard will be made at an early date to the Community Strategic Policy Committee for consideration as part of the general review of the Council's community grant schemes and in the context of the introduction of a number of new initiatives and the increased funding that was allocated as part of the Annual Budget process.
