MOTION: Councillor C. King

That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive Officer to report on whether or not Irish Water has applied to SDCC to "break ground" anywhere in the Tallaght area to date, has any notification been given to SDCC that they intend to start the installation of water metres and has the Council been notified who the contractor might be such as Farrons, GMC Sierra etc".

REPORT:

Irish Water has not installed any Water Meters in the Tallaght Area to date.

However Irish Water has informed the Council that they intend to “break ground” and commence the installation of meters in the Kilnamanagh area of Tallaght on 24th November 2014.

The contractor for the South Dublin County area is Farrans.
