QUESTION NO.1
QUESTION: Councillor M. Devine
To ask the Chief Executive what concrete plans are being considered to provide an age friendly county for our senior citizens with regards to housing?
REPLY:
The Council currently have four housing developments designated for Senior Citizen complexes, as follows:-
60 Liscarne Court, Clondalkin
10 Neilstown Village Court, Clondalkin
9 Cherryville, Clondalkin
10 Jobstown Village Square, Tallaght.
The Council also has 268 senior citizen designated dwellings peppered throughout the county. All of these units have been designed specifically with older persons in mind or in areas where there is a demand for such facilities.
Apart from the normal facilities and services to housing tenants it is intended to work towards the provision of the following over the coming year.
