QUESTION NO.14
QUESTION: Councillor D. O'Donovan
To ask the Chief Executive how many RAS clients throughout the county have had their tenancies ended early because the landlord has put the rental property up for sale in the past 12 months. Could you break this down by electoral area please?
REPLY:
In the 12 month period ending 31/10/14, a total of 81 properties were no longer available for inclusion in the Rental Accommodation Scheme as landlords served notice that the property was to be sold. The breakdown is as follows:
Clondalkin 28
Lucan 42
Rathfarnham 1
Tallaght 10
In all but two of the tenancies, alternative accommodation has been sourced for the tenants. The Council's RAS Team continues to engage proactively and extensively with effected tenants to source and secure alternative accommodation within available resources.
