MOTION NO. 9

MOTION: Councillor D. O'Brien

"That this Committee agrees to invite the receivers appointed for The Paddocks Estate to a meeting of all Lucan Councillors to brief Councillors on ongoing efforts to complete the estate to enable the estate to be fully taken in Charge by the Council."

REPORT:

I discussed this matter with the Receiver for The Paddocks in recent days and they have requested that rather than have an open ended meeting that you generate a proposed agenda for such a meeting preferably with questions that can be answered. They will then consider the questions in conjunction with the Liquidator and Consulting Engineer where appropriate.
The Paddocks is in the process of being completed north of the secondary link road to Dodsboro Road. This process will take about 2 years to complete and as ever it will remain dependent on market conditions for building to continue.
