MOTION NO. 7

MOTION: Councillor E. Ó Broin

Cathaoirleach's Business:

That this Committee agrees that, in recognition of the negative impact that recent re-zonings and planning decisions have had on the small rural community living on Baldonnell Road, agrees that a community dividend should be provided to this community including: the connection of the houses on the Baldonnell Road to the main water and sewage system and the provision of additional footpaths and street lighting connecting these houses to the local bus terminus.

REPORT:

Given the particular issues relating to this general area, the Council through the Economic, Enterprise and Tourism Development Department have engaged with local community contacts in the area. A number of meetings have been held and it is proposed to continue these into the future.
