To ask the Chief Executive what provision can be made for Tidy Towns and other voluntary groups in the Clondalkin area with regard to access to water for watering plants and flower beds now that water charges have commenced?
REPLY:
Discussons have taken place with Clondalkin Tidy Towns regarding harvesting rain water for use in watering plants and flower beds in the Clondalkin area including outlining options for funding such an intiative.
A Tidy Towns network meeting is planned for Monday 13th October and this matter will be discussed in conjunction with other sustainable resource management initiatives.
