QUESTION: Councillor D. O'Donovan

"To ask the Chief Executive when are the works starting on the proposed new entrance to Knockcullen/Ashton/Elkwood?"

REPLY:

The contract for the work at Knocklyon Road / Knockcullen Rise junction has been awarded to Priority Construction Ltd. They intend to commence on site week commencing Monday 13th October 2014 and have undertaken to resource and programme the work in order to achieve completion before the end of November 2014.

As there is likely to be some localised traffic disruption during these improvement works, SDCC greatly appreciates the tolerance and patience of residents until the work is complete.
