QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor

To ask the Chief Executive if he has had any contact from the Carers Association who are concerned that Local Councils would provide resources, services and supports for Family Carers who provide tremendous services in our Communities and will he also note the view of the Carers Association that all Local Authority policies and programs are Carer Proofed to consider their potential impact on family carers?

No contact has been received from the Carers Association, however should the question be approved the Social Inclusion Unit will contact the Association in regard to this matter.
