QUESTION NO. 25
QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor
To ask the Chief Executive if he would confirm that everything possible is being done to ensure the safety of members of the public visiting cemeteries throughout our County and if he will also detail contacts the Council regularly has with the Gardaí in respect of this issue?
REPLY:
The Council has not been made aware of any recent security issues in the Council's cemeteries. Signs are displayed in the car parks of the cemeteries advising people to be careful of their personal possessions. Should the member forward details of any particular issue, contact will be made with the local Garda station to request their assistance.
