QUESTION: Councillor D. Richardson

To ask the Chief Executive to present a report of how many Houses are currently Boarded up and what is the time for the current turn around when a house is Handed back to the council? 

REPLY:

There were 50 vacant social houses at end of September, 20 of these were surrendered during the month of September.  The average turnaround time is 11 weeks.  Work has commenced on 29 of these houses and tenants have been sourced for 25.
