Mayors Business

Having previously hosted rugby in Tallaght Stadium and on foot of the success of the Irish Women's rugby squad, this council not only congratulates our women on their wonderful achievements, but also calls on the Chief Executive to extend an invitation to the IRFU to host upcoming international women's rugby games in Tallaght Stadium.

REPORT:

If the motion is passed by the Elected Members, the Mayor’s office will write to IRFU congratulating the Irish Women’s Rugby team on their recent achievement in reaching the semi-finals of the World Cup in August 2014. The Council will also agree to discuss with the IRFU the possibility of hosting a Women’s International Rugby Match in Tallaght Stadium.
