QUESTION: Councillor D. O'Brien

"To ask the Chief Executive for a report on the operation of the new HGV limit on the Kennelsfort Road and to indicate whether he has any plans to review this limit?"

REPLY:

Following the relocation of the weight restriction on Kennelsfort Road meetings have been held with the An Garda Síochána Traffic Corp. Warning signs have been installed on the Palmerston By-Pass. An Garda Síochána report that they can now issue on-the-spot fines for noncompliance with weight restrictions.

Monitoring of the restriction is ongoing. It is not proposed to modify the restriction.
