QUESTION: Councillor P. Gogarty

"To ask the Chief Executive if he will consult with the Lucan Cemetery Sunday Committee and the Esker Cemetery Committee with a view to using some of the topsoil gathered in Esker Cemetery over the next nine months to create a mound so that a raised grass platform for the Cemetery Sunday mass can be created, making it easier for volunteers, some of whom are in their 70s and 80s, to set up for the Mass without having to use wooden frames to create a base beforehand; and if he will make a statement on the matter?"

REPLY:

A representative from the Public Realm Section will make contact with the Esker Cemetery Committee with a view to meeting them to discuss and assess this proposal. 

As we do not currently have contact details for the Lucan Cemetery Sunday Committee, I would ask that they be forwarded to me (at mhunt@sdublincoco.ie) as a matter of urgency so that this Committee may also be included in this discussion.
