MOTION: Councillor F. Warfield

Mayors Business

Recognising the level of employment created by the food, hospitality and tourism sector and reflecting as Mayor on my own commitment towards the promotion of practical solutions to the youth unemployment crisis, I call on central Government to retain the 9% rate of VAT in 2015 to support food, tourism and jobs.

Should the motion be agreed by the Members a letter will issue to the Minister for Finance outlining the sentiments contained in the motion.
