QUESTION NO. 15

QUESTION: Councillor P. Gogarty

"To ask the Chief Executive to update on the taking-in-charge of The Paddocks Estate, including completion of snagging works, full provision of public lighting and boundary treatment works; and if he will make a statement on the matter?"

REPLY:

SDCC anticipate the Paddocks to be Taken-In-Charge in 2015.

The Liquidator has engaged a Consulting Engineer who has prepared contract documents for all snag works. Negotiations are ongoing with the Contractor engaged to carry out snag works on a adjacent development involving the same liquidator and consultant.

It is anticipated that works will commence on the paddocks during the winter of 2014-2015 and will result in the Taking-In-Charge of all aspects of the Paddocks built to date.

For the record a Commencement Notice has been lodged for the completion of the 12 dwellings at the Crescent. This same developer has purchased all 39 outstanding dwelling planning permissions along Paddocks Drive West to Dodsboro Road. On completion of these 39 dwellings Paddocks Drive West will be opened onto Dodsboro Road and all works north of this road in the Paddocks will be completed and TIC.
