QUESTION: Councillor F. Timmons

To ask the Chief Executive for a full list of Boarded up houses in SDCC and what plans are in place to make these Liveable?

REPLY:

There were 48 Council social housing units vacant at end of August, 22 of which are boarded up.  Two are ready for occupation and pre-let repairs are in progress in the balance.  Tenants have already been identified for 21 of these units.  It should also be noted that 13 of these units came back in stock during the month of August alone.

In addition there are a number of boarded up private houses throughout the county along with a small number of Council owned stock that is not in our possession for legal reasons.
