QUESTION NO.19
QUESTION: Councillor B. Bonner
A disabled resident whose address I have supplied would like double yellow lines removed from outside the house in order to improve accessibility. To ask the Chief Executive can this be done?
REPLY:
Double yellow lines are provided to prevent cars parking on a public road in an unsafe manner or to prevent an obstruction. Removal of yellow lines would not improve accessibility as there is general demand for parking locally. A disabled parking space may be considered where an application is received from a disabled parking permit holder.
