QUESTION: Councillor C. King

"To ask the Chief Executive to arrange for the inspection of the windows of every house that was refurbished under phase 1 of the Cushlawn refurbishment programme as the majority of these windows are badly deteriorated as they were done to a very low standard during the programme. That these inspections take place with a view to the windows being replaced as soon as possible?" 

REPLY:

The 148 houses, which were refurbished in Cushlawn Phase 1 will be put on the list for inspection and grading and based on their grading may be placed on the Replacement List.  However, it should be noted that the programme is operated by date of application and in these cases that will be September 2014 , the rent account being in order i.e. either clear or tenant adhering to an official arrangement for a minimum period of 6 months and having no anti-social issues.  Priority is also given to applicants with serious medical conditions.
