QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart

To ask the Chief Executive how many people of 65 years and over are on the Council's housing list or are awaiting accommodation of some kind in South Dublin?

REPLY:

Applicants over 65 are identified for elderly specific accommodation as it becomes available based on time on list.  There are currently 46 applicants over 65 on the housing list for such accommodation.  Two of these applicants require ground floor accommodation, one of which has been offered and accepted accommodation.  Two applicants have been offered and accepted standard accommodation.
