MOTION: Councillor C. King
That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to provide a report on what enforcement actions have been taken in relation to the alleged after hours working on the school site on Garters lane which is in conflict with the granting of the planning permission with a view to this activity ceasing immediately.
REPORT:
A Warning Letter pursuant to Section 152 of the Planning & Development Act 2000 (as amended) issued to the owner/occupier on the 25th June 2014 regarding the above matter.
Separately planning staff also made contact with the applicant and the Department of Education who were informed of the issue and advised to address the matter.
The matter remains under investigation however the Department of Education has advised that the school was handed over by the developer to the Board of Management on the 29th August 2014 for occupation and use. This indicates that the development has been completed. The school was opened for class on 1st September
