QUESTION NO. 3
QUESTION: Councillor T. Gilligan
To ask the Manager how many electrical cars outlets there are in the South Dublin Council area and what plans are there to introduce / increase these numbers?
REPLY:
ESB Networks is responsible for the installation of electric charging points through their Ecars project, details of which are available on the ESB web site (www.esb.ie/electric-cars). The number and distribution of charging points is a matter for ESB Networks. So far two charging points are located on public roads in South Dublin County,
Ø Greenhills Road near Walkinstown Roundabout
Ø Main Street Rathcoole
Nine other charging points are located in private areas in the county such as the Red Cow park and ride site, selected fuel stations, hotels and shopping centres.
