QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

"To ask the Manager to write to all sports clubs using Council pitches in the area under the remit of this Committee to remind them of their obligations to remove all bottles and other litter from the pitch and surrounding areas following their games, and to ask the Council to take enforcement action where such littering continues to occur?"

REPLY:

A letter will issue to all sports clubs reminding them of their obligations as requested. When the Council is aware of clubs failing to adhere to the conditions of their pitch letting, appropriate enforcement action is taken.
