MOTION NO. 6

MOTION: Councillor C. King

That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for the reinstatement of the concrete barrier at Bawnlea Crescent that was moved to allow flood water to escape into Whitestown Stream during the floods of October 2011. The gap in the barrier is being used by joyriders to access the lands adjacent to the river and putting children and walkers at risk along Dromcarra and Bawnlea.

REPORT:

The Drainage Section have inspected the area and are making arrangements to reinstate the concrete barrier at Bawnlea Crescent.  It is hoped to have this work completed over the next two weeks.
