MOTION: Councillor C. Jones

"That the Manager will reconfigure the pedestrian traffic lights in Lucan village at the junction at Courtney's to allow for more 'green time' for pedestrians while vehicular traffic is already stopped."

REPORT:

The green time period at any signalised crossing is an "invitation to cross" only. The crossing time is the amber period. This is necessary as a person who steps off the kerb and commences to cross on the last instant of green must be afforded time to cross. The times allocated are considered adequate at this location.
